Welcome

Hi there and welcome to my website.

I am a photographer in Wellington, New Zealand.

I have been keen on photography since around 2011 when I saw some astrophotography from other photographers here in Wellington and throughout NZ. I had never shot with a DSLR before but quickly learned how to shoot in manual and capture long exposures of the night sky.

However, after a few years I became more interested in landscapes of which we have an abundance of here! My setup changed from a Canon 6D to Fuji X Series cameras. From an X-E2 to an X-T20 and more recently an X-T3.

About 18 months ago my son started asking me questions about old TLR film cameras of which I knew nothing about having not used film cameras since the late 90’s!

So that got me doing research on cameras for him and then I got the vintage film camera bug and have fallen down that rabbit hole!

My tastes have now switched more to street photography which I really enjoy.

I’ll use the blog here to go through my current range of cameras and maybe discuss more on photography, whose work I follow and anything else in the hobby.
